Highway 91 Cyclones vs. Cardinals

On August 22, the Clarkson-Leigh/Howells-Dodge Highway 91 Cyclones took on the Boone Central/Newman Grove Cardinals at Leigh. Both teams played hard and well.
Kiera Stewart was the top player of this game with her pitching skills. She threw a no hitter until the 6th inning. The Cardinals only hit a total of five times, but the Cyclones, finally warming up towards the end, landed almost all of their hits. The Cyclones took the win home with a final score of 2 to 0. The crowd and the Cyclones were both ecstatic with their first win.
Senior Megan Venneman said, “As a team we played well, but we need more practice in our offense.”
