Dodging Drugs: Red Ribbon Week

Mr. Matt Murren "wins" the Kiss the Pig Contest.

National Honor Society's Red Ribbon Week at Clarkson Public Schools was one crazy week! Monday, January 23 started as pajama day, and Tuesday was twin day.  Wednesday was supposed to be cat day but was canceled with the snow day.  Thursday was bring your favorite stuffed animal, and Friday was Dodgeball Tournament Day.

Throughout the week students were brought in pennies for either Mrs. Beeson, Mrs. Morfeld, Mr. Schneider, and Mr. Murren.  Whoever won the penny war had to kiss a pig. The penny war was a fundraiser for the police station’s K9 branch.  CPS raised $100 during the week. Mr. Murren was the winner, but even though Mr. Murren won, Mrs. Beeson and Bradley Bunner also kissed the pig.

Closing out the week was the Dodgeball Tournament. There were five teams:  pink, blue, white, gray, and red. The pink team finished the tournament, going 3-0 and winning the whole tournament.
