Honor Band Toots Their Horns
On Monday, February 6, some of the Clarkson-Leigh band members headed to North Bend to play in the East Husker Conference Honor Band. Trumpeters included seniors Bradley Bunner, Megan Bahns, and sophomore Cort Pokorney. Sophomore Holly Kuhr and junior Haden Held were on trombones. Sophomore John Langhorst played the tuba, and sophomore Sara McEvoy was on the clarinet. Juniors Garrett Schroeder and Derek Guernsey played the baritone. Junior Sydney Geier and freshman Sawyer Kappel performed on the tenor sax. Senior Daniel Arriaza played the drums.
They practiced all day and performed at 7:00, including songs “America the Beautiful,” “Pevensey Castle,” and “Lord of the Dance.”
