Student Spotlight: Shelby Paprocki

April 04, 2017

This week’s student in the spotlight is Shelby Paprocki. She is a senior this year at Clarkson High School. Her parents are Matt and Trish Paprocki.  She has two brothers. Kobe is a freshman at Northeast Community College, and Lance is an 8th grader at CPS.

Shelby participated in volleyball and basketball and is currently out for track. She has been doing all three sports since she was a 7th grader.

After graduation Shelby wants to become an elementary teacher and get a minor in coaching. She chose to become an elementary teacher because she loves working with kids. She wants to get a minor in coaching because she’s had a lot of good coaches who inspired her.  She wants to teach kids about the sports that she loved playing at their age. Shelby is planning on attending Northeast Community College and then transferring to Wayne State College.

Shelby will always remember all of the awesome memories she has made with her teammates, classmates, and friends.  The thing that Shelby is going to regret the most is not being more involved in high school. When Shelby was in junior high, she worried about having seniors judge what she wore on game days once she got into high school.

Shelby is most looking forward to meeting new people in college. She’s excited for that because she wants to make new friends and find people that have the same interests as she does.
