FFA Goes to Husker Harvest Days

On Wednesday, September 13, the Leigh-Clarkson FFA chapter headed to Grand Island for a fun and eventful day of Husker Harvest Days. The chapter left Clarkson at 6:45 and got to Grand Island around 8:30. There was a long line to get in, but it didn’t take long. It was one of the hotter, sunnier days of the month with temperatures around 80°F.

Husker Harvest Days is an event in Grand Island, Nebraska, where different farm venders go to show their equipment, irrigation systems, seed corn, and other products. Many people visited the Big Iron tent, which is a website where people can sell farm equipment. "We got a lot of cool and free things," said senior Anthony Bruhn from Leigh.

At the RFD-TV booth, students got to see Johnny Rodgers, a former Husker and Heisman trophy winner in 1972. Husker Harvest Days will always be a memorable trip for FFA students.
