CPS Kicks off the 2018-2019 School Year

4443 - On Wednesday, August 15, Principal Lee Schneider, welcomed back 98 junior high and high school students. 

 

4476 - CPS brought in seven new staff members this fall: (seated) Liz Kowalski, Tony Horacek, Breanna Ruwe, (standing) Pat Johnson, Allison Dolezal, Cari Janousek, and Megan Fendrick.  Mrs. Kowalski is the current Clarkson-Leigh Patriots' band director and the Clarkson Elementary music teacher.  Mr. Horacek joined the staff as the high school math teacher, and Mrs. Dolezal teaches junior high and high school science.  Miss Ruwe and Mrs. Fendrick help in the elementary as paras.  Mrs.  Johnson (a former CPS bus/shuttle driver) is taking a new role as the head cook, while Mrs. Janousek drives morning and afternoon van routes as well as class shuttles to Leigh.

 

6940 - To kick off fall sports, the Clarkson-Leigh Booster Club hosted their annual Spirit Night on Friday, August 17.  In a Facebook "thank you" to the communities, Coach Jim Clarkson stated, "Patriot Athletics are full of committed, hard-working, and dedicated athletes and parents, and that makes our culture one of the best in the state."
