Cyclone Softball Feeling Confidence
The Highway 91 Cyclones’ first game of the Wisner Tournament in Wisner on August 27 wasn't so hot. The Cyclones lost 7-6 against David City-East Butler. The Cyclones came back to win the second game against Lincoln High, 14-1. With the taste of the previous win, the Cyclones won the third game against Polk County, 9-5.
Breanna Ashton said, “It was a 12-hour day, and we worked hard, so we didn’t lose our focus.”
This year’s team consists of 18 girls: 8 from Clarkson, 5 from Leigh, and 5 from Howells-Dodge. The head coach for the team is Adam Indra. The assistant coaches are Megan Hillen and Jamie Blum.
