Shop Class Patriot Enrichment Period
Yet another round of PEP periods are over, and the students are having a great time. Students say that one of their favorite classes is shop. In shop, Mr. Darrell Bailey is having his students go on computers to find a picture of something they would like to make into a plaque. Once they find a picture, they have to make it black and white so that they can port it to the laser cutter. After the machine engraves the image into the wood, the students paint it however they like.
In the last few days, the students began to design a gumball machines from scratch. With the help of Mr. Bailey, the students cut, sanded, and painted the gumball machines. Mr Bailey said, “With the later groups I hope to start using the 3D printers and 3D scanners.”
