Student Spotlight: Cheyenne Brabec

This week’s student in the spotlight is Cheyenne Brabec. Cheyenne is a sophomore at the Clarkson High School. Cheyenne lives with her parents, Gary and Jodi Brabec.

When Cheyenne gets older she wants to become a registered nurse. She chose to become a RN because she likes to help and meet new people. Her parents have encouraged her to become an RN. Cheyenne wants to attend Wayne State College.

Cheyenne is going to be out for track again this year. She has been going out for track since junior high. In track Cheyenne runs the mile, and her average time is 6:53. She chose to go out for track in junior high because her brothers did distance running, and she wanted to try to beat them. Cheyenne also dances and helps out at Steps at Tiffany’s in Clarkson. She fell in love with dance when she was only 5 years old.

Growing up, one of Cheyenne’s favorite memories is when she went roller skating with her family. She really likes that memory because she got to spend time with them and she really likes to roller skate.

Cheyenne’s favorite classmate would have to be Kiara Brabec, Cheyenne’s cousin. She is her favorite because they always talk to each other, and Kiara always makes her day.

Cheyenne’s favorite subject would have to be American History. She chose it because Mr. McEvoy is a great teacher and he teaches well. She also chose it because she likes to learn about what happened in America. Cheyenne said that her favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Clarkson because he always motivates her and pushes her. Sometimes he motivates by yelling to push yourself as much as you can.
