The Clarkson-Leigh Patriots played the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs in Humphrey on Friday, October 13, at 7:00pm. The Patriots won the coin toss and chose to start off by kicking the ball. Senior Hector Mendoza was back to return the ball, and it was returned to their own 30-yard line.
The Bulldogs had a strong defense, making the Patriots turn over. The Patriots played hard but could not stop their offense.
Jim Clarkson said, “The Humphrey-Lindsay game was a disappointing loss. An early deficit and some injuries put us in a hole we couldn't get out of. The positive side is our young QB got some quality reps, and the guys didn’t back down. We finished the game playing hard.”
The final score was 14-44 with the Patriots losing.
