In The Patriot Spotlight: Dale Novak

Each week a Clarkson High School student or Clarkson Public Schools staff member will be randomly selected to be "In the Patriot Spotlight."  This week's Patriot is Mr. Dale Novak.

Dale is the maintenance man and one of the bus drivers at Clarkson Public Schools. Dale has a wife, Mary, and two daughters Rachel and Sydney. He also has two grandsons and one more grandbaby on the way.

Dale went to college at NECC in Norfolk and has been working at CPS since the fall of 2002. He wanted this job because of the challenge it brings to him each day. The best part of his job is the variety of different things he gets to do day in and day out. In his eyes, one day is never the same, or even remotely close to the next one.

When Dale isn’t at school, you could probably find him in his yard or garden doing some work, hunting, or even building something. His favorite sports team is the Nebraska Cornhuskers. His dream car is a 1932 Ford Coupe Street Rod, and his favorite color is blue.

Dale’s favorite part about being a Patriot is all of the people he gets to work with each day. What he misses most about this past summer was all the warm weather and being outside more. Dale’s favorite part of when school starts up again is when all the kids come back and see all the new work and changes that have been completed during summertime.
