In the Patriot Spotlight: Steph Rolf

Each week a Clarkson High School student or Clarkson Public Schools staff member will be randomly selected to be "In the Patriot Spotlight." This week’s Patriot is Steph Rolf. She is the preschool teacher at Clarkson Public Schools. She is married to Jerett Rolf.  They have been together for seven years and married for five years. She has two sons: Clayton (4) and Bryden (2).

In preschool there are two groups - one for the 3-year olds and the 4-year olds. Her favorite part about her job is watching the kids grow because she gets to see most of them two years in a row. She knew she wanted to be a teacher ever since she was a little kid, and she loves working with kids. Mrs. Rolf always takes the preschoolers around town, so they get to know the community.  Teaching preschool has helped her become a better mom.

Mrs. Rolf attended Northeast Community College for 1 ½ years, and she attended Hastings College for 2 ½ years. If she wasn’t teaching, she would be an accountant.  Accounting was her favorite subject in high school because it was easy.

Mrs. Rolf’s kids go to daycare in Clarkson, so on the way to school she looks forward to bonding with them. In summer she looks forward to camping, fishing, and golfing. Her favorite animal would be a monkey because they can hang from trees and eat bananas.
