Letter from Superintendent Mr. Lemburg

As we will start the 2nd semester, I hope everyone’s 2024 will be off to a great start.   Hopefully everyone will have a great holiday break and spend quality time with your families.

I just want to start the New Year by reminding everyone about communication and how it is so important in so many ways for our school.  The biggest areas we like to stress are:

  • If your child is sick or is going to miss anytime at school please make sure to call, text, email with us so we know that your child is going to be gone.   It helps on so many levels so we know where everyone is and every child is safe.

  • Chain of command.  If you have a concern, question or problem please reach out to the teacher/personnel and start the conversation on the right level.  As an administrator, I have people who reach out to me at times before going to the teachers and coaches.  The chain of command is set up for a reason and really helps to fix problems and open up proper communications.

  • If you have a question or are hearing something that doesn’t make sense please reach-out to a school official and get the correct information.  It is amazing at times the stories I hear that are supposedly going on at school.  People like to gossip and spread juicy tidbits of information but when this information is false it can cause problems and damage to the situation.

As we start January, I want to remind people January and February are very hectic months as we head into the back part of the winter sports/activity season.  Between Youth, Jr. Hi, C Team, JV and Varsity contests and then throw in Speech meets and Ag Contests the months of January and February really keeps everyone hopping.   This doesn’t include the joy of dealing with the weather and dealing with postponements and rescheduling of activities.   Please make sure you are communicating with your kids and make sure they are keeping up with their work.

It is a Great Day to be a Patriot!!
