Emma Gehring, the daughter of Brent and Kathryn Gehring, was initially diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2013, prior to her 1st birthday. Emma’s family has worked with a team of doctors in Omaha and Boston and she recently underwent her second brain surgery. Emma is the granddaughter of Mrs. Maggee Alt, Clarkson’s Librarian. The staff and students at Clarkson Public School are organizing this benefit and will be hosting several fundraising activities at the game. No gate money will be collected for the VB game, rather we would encourage guests to make a $5/person donation at the door and receive raffle tickets to enter their chance to win donated items. Patriot themed EmmaStrong t-shirts will be printed and ready for purchase thanks to the generosity of Stadium Sports. An abundant bake sale featuring the baking talents of the Clarkson community will also be in full swing. Additional activities are being planned as well.
