Student Spotlight: Amber Novotny

This week for Student Spotlight, Amber Novotny was interviewed. Amber is a sophomore at Clarkson. Her parents are Ray and Peggy, and she has two sisters and a brother:  Andrew is 20, her sister Alex is 18, and Ashlee is a junior at Clarkson.

Amber is involved in band, choir, one act, FCCLA, and she went out for softball and speech for the first time this year.

Amber’s favorite subject is math because it’s easy for her. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Morfeld, her English teacher, and Mrs. Beeson, her science teacher. She says they are both really fun, good teachers, and make class easy. When Amber graduates high school in two years, she wants to be a teacher because she loves kids and helping them. She hasn’t decided where she wants to go for college, but she either wants to go to Northeast or Wayne.

In her free time, Amber likes to babysit, hunt, and shoot her bow. Amber’s inspiration is her mom because she’s always there for her and always supports her no matter what. In addition to this, she couldn’t live without her family because they always spend time together, and they’re always joking around and having fun.

When Amber comes to school, the one thing she looks forward to is seeing her friends because she usually doesn’t get to see them during the summer as much as she would like to. In 10 years, Amber sees herself as a teacher and helping everyone around her when she can!
