In The Patriot Spotlight: Dawn Brabec

This week's Patriot is Dawn Brabec. Dawn and her husband Roger have been together for 24 years and married for 22 years. They have two girls together: Jessica, 24, and Cassandra, 16.
Dawn is a paraprofessional at CPS. She has been a para for 11 years. She worked at the bakery in town for four years before she started working at the school. Dawn said if she wasn’t working at the school she would probably start her own daycare. Her favorite part of her job is seeing all the kids everyday. Her least favorite part of her job is when kids don’t live up to their expectations when she know that they can.
Dawn’s favorite high school sport to watch is track because kids set their own standard and goals. She loves seeing kids beat their records.
If Dawn could be a famous person she would be Julia Child because she loves to cook. Her favorite part of cooking is when she can experiment with different foods.
Dawn loves to watch movies. Her favorite movies to watch are on the Hallmark Channel. She is not a fan of the romantic ones, but she loves the ones with a good plot twist. She also loves to read books. Her least favorite genre to read is romance or scary books, but she loves a good plot twist.
