In The Patriot Spotlight: Lane Kudera
Each week a Clarkson High School student or Clarkson Public Schools staff member will be randomly selected to be "In the Patriot Spotlight." This week’s Patriot is Lane Kudera. He is a freshman, and his parents are Barret and Jessica Kudera. Lane also has two younger sisters: Hailey who is in 8th grade and Mackenna who is in the 3rd grade.
When Lane grows up he wants to become a farmer because when he is old enough he wants to partner with his dad and farm with him.
One of the many differences he has noticed between junior high and high school is that the classes are a lot harder, and he misses Mr. Becker as a teacher. Mr. Becker always made math fun, and Lane would always have time to finish his homework in class.
Lane participated in football this fall, and he’s been playing it for three years, and he really enjoys it. When Lane has free time, he likes to watch sports to keep an update on rivalries.
Lane’s favorite subject has to be history because he has always been fascinated by it. His favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Beeson because he thinks that she is a great role model, and she always has a smile on her face no matter what.
Lane said his inspiration is his grandpa because before he passed away he would always teach Lane new things. One of his favorite memories with him would have to be the time when he made Lane drive his brand new mower around cones that he set out, pretending that they were trees. Lane is pretty sure that he hit them all!
Lane describes himself as hardworking because he feels like he does a lot around the farm but sometimes he gets lazy. One thing Lane misses about summer is sleeping in because he never gets to anymore.
