In The Patriot Spotlight: Kathy Krause

Each week a Clarkson High School student or Clarkson Public Schools staff member will be randomly selected to be "In the Patriot Spotlight." This week’s Patriot is Kathy Krause. She is married to Bill Krause, and they have been married for 25 years. They have a daughter Kaitlyn, who just got married in September, and a son Kolton; both have graduated from college.

Mrs. Krause has been a para for seventeen years. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the kids everyday and watching them learn and grow from year to year.

Mrs. Krause’s favorite color is purple, and her favorite restaurant is Hu Hot. When she was in high school, her favorite subject was biology.  Her hobbies consist of reading, watching cooking shows, riding horses, and spending time with her family.

She attended Southeast Community College for two years. She also attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln for two years.

One word Mrs. Krause chose to describe herself was “authentic” because she is just trying to be herself and to be the best she can each day. Her advice for others is “Be yourself. You can’t fail at that.”
