Boone Central Speech meet
On Saturday, January 24, the high school speech team competed in the first speech meet of the season at Boone Central. The novice team placed 3rd out of 13 teams with a total of 16 medals.
Clarkson had one first-place winner, and that was Tanner Stanley in humorous prose, with Rachel Rupprecht placing second.
For the duets, Tony Mach and Brendon Cropp placed fifth, Emily Schenelle and Kaitlyn Dlouhy placed fourth, and Breanna Ashton and Jacquelyn Lee placed fifth in novice duet.
In serious prose Tony Mach placed fifth and Cully Cerv placed sixth.
Breanna Ashton placed fifth in persuasive.
Emily Schenelle, Caitlin Dozier, and Jenna Podany placed second in OID.
Jenna Schmitz placed fourth in poetry while Emily Schelle placed third.
