Building Update - March 2026

As Clarkson Public Schools moves into April, I would like to provide our patrons with an update on the ongoing building project.

At this time, all concrete work in the new elementary wing (Area B) has been completed. Masonry work on the second floor is currently underway, with the goal of having the block work finished by the end of March. Following that, crews will begin installing structural steel and working toward getting the roof in place and having the building enclosed by the end of April.

This progress marks a significant milestone in the structural phase of the project and keeps us on schedule. Once the building is fully enclosed, multiple contractors will be able to work in tandem, helping ensure the project is completed in time for the 2026–27 school year.

In Area A, which will serve as the new front entrance to the school, much of the rough-in work has already been completed. Upcoming work in Area A will also include completing footings and other foundational components for the new main entrance. Following this phase, structural steel and flooring will begin. At that point, additional contractors will be scheduled to carry out their respective scopes of work in both Areas A and B, ensuring coordinated progress and adherence to project timelines.

The current elementary building is scheduled to be demolished later this summer to make way for Area C, which will include the new shop and high school classrooms. Construction on Area C is tentatively set to begin in September, with a projected completion date of June 2027.

If you have any questions regarding the project, please feel free to contact me at rlemburg@clarkson.esu7.org or call the school at 402-892-3454.
