In the Patriot Spotlight: Tim Zimmerman

Each week a Clarkson High School student or Clarkson Public Schools staff member will be randomly selected to be "In the Patriot Spotlight." This week’s Patriot is Timothy (Tim) Zimmerman. Tim is a senior this year at Clarkson Public Schools. His parents are Jeff Zimmerman and Lisa Nelson. He is currently living with his dad and step-mom, Tresha Zimmerman. His siblings are Nick, Jenn, Tyler, Sarah, Amber, Amanda, Catie, Andrea, Trey, Taylor, Ashlee, Triston, and Tyson.

Tim is in the National Guard, which he thinks is fun and it helps pay his tuition. His favorite part about it is shooting guns.

Tim went out for football, wrestling, and FFA. He went out for football because all of his friends did. His favorite part is getting tackled by Jacob Gall because it is an opportunity to get better. He went out for wrestling because he likes to wrestle Derek Gurnsey. His favorite part this year was going to state because it was his first time and a great way to end senior year. Tim doesn’t have a favorite sport because he likes football and wrestling equally. He doesn’t know why he went out for FFA, but he is glad he did because he loves to weld.

When Tim graduates he wants to attend Northwest Kansas Technical College to study auto body. When Tim graduates this year, he is going to miss Mr. Schneider yelling at him because it makes him work better and harder. He is also going to miss Mr. Murren’s corny jokes because they are really funny. Tim’s favorite class was Algebra II with Mr. Lodl and his favorite teacher is Mr. McEvoy.
